With 16 break-out session options covering a variety of topics around the theme of CommUNITY, and vendors from across the state promoting CommUNITY groups, activities, and resources, it promises to be a fun and exciting day!

Scholarships Available for Self-Advocates
Thanks to a generous sponsorship by The Knights of Columbus, The Arc Maryland has several scholarships available that cover 100% of the registration fee for a limited number of people with developmental disabilities who want to attend.

Plenary Speaker - Deb Wisniewski
Our Plenary Speaker this year is Deb Wisniewski! Deb is a committed connector who believes that our communities are stronger when we are all supported to share our gifts and talents. She has worked with a wide variety of groups and organizations - from grassroots groups creating change in their communities to organizations who are learning to lead by stepping back. She is a faculty member with the Asset-Based Community Development (ABCD) Institute located at DePaul University, and co-founder of ABCD in Action, an online community with over 2000 members from more than 75 countries. 
Closing Remarks - Peter Berns
The Arc Maryland is excited to announce Peter Berns, CEO of  The Arc of the United States , will be presenting the closing remarks. Peter has been at the helm of The Arc for nearly a decade and his leadership has led the organization on a path of progress, innovation, and change. Peter will be providing a brief history of The Arc movement and leading a call to action to invigorate the fight for rights for individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities and their families.
