ABOUT LORNA MARSH

Lorna Marsh was born in Cape Town, South Africa in 1949. Although Marsh's artistic vision may be grounded in her classical training she has developed a distinctive contemporary style that transcends standard interpretative mechanisms. She is a figurative expressionist who blends symbolism, surrealism, and expressionism that reflect a universal dialogue that addresses man's destructive relationship to himself and his environment.
Marsh has had important solo shows at the Florida Museum of Hispanic and Latin American Art, Miami, Florida, the Jacobo Borges Museum, Caracas, Venezuela, the Real Monastery of Santa Maria de la Valldigna Fundaci� Jaume II el Just, Valencia, Spain, the Jo�o Ferreira Gallery, Cape Town, South Africa, the Aldo Castillo Gallery, Chicago, Illinois, the Shanghai Art Fair, Shanghai, China, among many others
