Technology Entrepreneurship

Most engineers do not like to be a businessman, and most businessmen are not technical experts. How do you blend the two?

This course introduces the fundamentals of technology entrepreneurship, pioneered by the inventor of this course in Silicon Valley. Students learn how to become entrepreneurs, gain practical experience alongside the theory, and work on startup projects in teams.

The student teams are mentored by Silicon Valley mentors and investors, and the best teams at the end of the class pitch their ideas to seasoned investors. Many of the students are expected to build their startups and will be go outside the school to raise an equity financing round.

Thank you to instructor: Henry Wong for providing this amazing course!

"I believe the Bay Area is the consciousness of the country and there is no better place to be to contribute to the exciting trend of self-awareness and autonomy." After a decade as a Bridal Consultant and Wedding Gown Buyer, Karen transitioned into support roles in Finance and Venture Capital but soon realized she could choose an environment that was more in alignment with her personal growth. Meditating with the Body

Sofia Alum Manuela Mischke-Reeds is offering a five-month training for touching enlightenment.

Meditating with the Body is designed for beginning and experienced meditators alike. This in-depth training focuses on a series of powerful body-based meditation practices drawn from Tibetan Yoga. The comprehensive five-month program cultivates learning and discovery through systematic study, intensive practice, and integration of the practices into daily life.

Training begins and ends with five-day residential retreats, where you will be introduced to the practices and supported by the warmth of fellow retreatants, meditation instructors, a spacious mountain retreat environment, and myself.

Between these two retreats, we will deepen practice through an extensive at-home curriculum of readings, recorded teachings, and guided practices enriched by personalized guidance from a meditation instructor and a study group led by your meditation instructor.

I'm excited and honored to teach this in-depth retreat. We kick things off on September 13, in Crestone Colorado, at the magnificent Blazing Mountain Retreat Center.

You can learn more about the retreat, and register, through the Dharma Ocean website.

As part of Hemera Foundation's Contemplative Fellowships for Educatorsprogram, Dharma Ocean is again able to offer full and partial fellowships to qualified educators. Those who work full-time in pre-K or K-12 education, or are enrolled in a Master's degree program in education.
