We’ve had another record-setting year! Our medical education program is attracting more applicants each year, serving as a reaffirmation of our steadfast commitment to student success, research and patient care.
On April 20, 33 alumni and guests gathered to elect new officers and directors, to hear from Dean Lockwood, and learn about exciting new alumni activities.
Daniel Kapp, MD ’98, Ivy Faske, MD ’84, James Goldenberg, MD ’89, and Maureen Whelihan, MD ’93 hosted more than 30 alumni and guests for a reception with Charles Lockwood, MD, MHCM in West Palm Beach.

Now in its eighth year, this event united scholarship donors with the student recipients who benefit from their support. More than 180 attended the USF Marshall Student Center.
More than 30 students attended this year's Alumni Student Meet and Greet. This informational networking opportunity featured a panel of 10 alumni representing different specialties.
Reams of information helped him determine what college he would attend and which residency programs to apply for. Statistics help him know which medications are the most effective for his patients.
The group will be traveling to Jarabacoa, Dominican Republic, where they will provide acute medical care, health education, and preventive medicine to patients lacking access to basic medical services.
2016 Student Alumni Ambassadors- Jose Jesurajan and Ahmed Mohamed gained valuable insight from shadowing and networking with MD alumni during the program.
