Hosanna!
Blessed is He who comes in the name of the Lord!

This is the route that Jesus rode, on the back of a donkey, in fulfillment of Zechariah's prophecy, down into the Old City (note the walls) of Jerusalem during His triumphal entry. While on pilgrimage, we walked down this road with its steep incline, past the Tombs of the Prophets, and toward the church which now commemorates this moment and marks the beginning of the dramatic events to come.
Hosanna! Blessed is He who comes in the name of the Lord!

As we join the crowds chants, hailing the coming of our King, let us prepare ourselves, to follow Jesus as we enter into the sacred mysteries which wrought the salvation of the world.

Peace,
Ann

All Night Watch
April 13th
". . . Stay awake with me one hour . . . " Matthew 26:40

An important tradition during Holy Week at St. Paul's is the All Night Watch, which takes place in the Church following the stripping of the altar on Maundy Thursday evening, April 13, and concludes at sunrise (6:00 am) on Good Friday.

Consider giving one hour of your evening or early morning for individual silent prayer and contemplation in the church, keeping watch (Jesus asked his disciples to do this for him in Gethsemane). Older children and teenagers are welcome, if accompanied by a parent.

At least one "shepherd" is needed in the Waterman Library, for the 3-hours from 12 midnight to 3 am (bring a book!), so no one is alone during the night, but it would be great to have one there the whole time.

Please sign up in Selleck Hall or email [email protected] so we know who is coming.
Celebration of New Ministry
Thursday, May 10th

Please join us on May 10th at 7pm for a Celebration of New Ministry for The Rev. Stephanie M. Johnson.  Bishop Ian Douglas will be presiding.  A festive reception will follow in Selleck Hall.  Please be in touch with Kathy Petersen if you would like to help with the reception planning.
