Mother's Day Gifts A Smashing Success
Mother's Day gift bag assembly last year
Thanks to the generosity of many parishioners we have received numerous gifts of personal care items, scarves, costume jewelry, and cash donations of more than $700 to buy gift cards for 20 single moms and dads living at the Transition House shelter for homeless families on Mother's Day. These will be given away after the All Saints dinner at the shelter on Mother's Day. If you would like to help with organizing and wrapping the gifts or with the dinner, please sign up at the Info Table.

Parishioners Patrice Mueller,, and Amy Miller,, are leading this effort and can provide more information.
The Abundant Table Announces First-Ever Summer Camp Sessions
The Abundant Table, a ministry based in Santa Paula, has announced that it will offer "Alive: Eco-Faith and Farm Summer Day Camp" in two sessions this summer. The farm and garden-based program will engage campers ages 6 years to 12 years "in connecting farm-based learning experiences with Christian faith to feel fully alive in the tradition of relationship and love of self, community, Earth, place, and God." Learning and activity themes of soil science, watersheds, eco-systems, botany, local food systems, and healthy eating will be woven together with biblical teachings and reflection.

The first session will be held Monday - Friday, July 25-29 at The Abundant Table Farm in Camarillo. The second session will be Monday - Friday, August 8-12 at Community Roots Garden in Oxnard. Cost per camper is $150 per session. Each day's schedule will begin at 9:30 a.m. and end at 2 p.m.
Bell Tower Construction
During the construction we will need to enter the church using the door on the front right hand side of the church (closest to the Parish House). If you have any questions or concerns about this project, please call the church office at 969-4771.

Exciting Campaign News: $500,000 Matching Fund Established

Five parish families have come forward to create a $500,000 matching fund that will match every dollar committed to the capital campaign before July 31, 2016 (up to $500,000). The sanctuary is in dire need of seismic retrofitting.

"We're so thankful for the generosity of so many in our parish," said Rev. Aimee. "That these five families want to share their abundance to help us ensure the future of our sanctuary is truly a gift from God," she added. The five families have already given to the campaign and are increasing their earlier very generous gift commitments."

The new gift fund will be used to match one dollar of each dollar donated by any parishioner who gives to the "How Firm Our Foundation" capital campaign between April 15 and the end of July. Gifts do not need to be paid by July to be eligible to be matched. Gifts may actually be paid over five years.
Education for Ministry News
The local EfM group will have two graduates this year, Vern Bengtson and Yvonne Emerson, who are Trinity parishioners. Every year the Diocese of Los Angeles holds a EfM Graduation Liturgy at the Cathedral Center of St. Paul. This year the liturgy will be on Saturday, June 11, 2016.

The liturgy is designed and participated in by EfM graduates and participants. Bishop Diocesan Jon Bruno will be presiding.

Vern and Yvonne have volunteered to write and deliver the sermon at this service, and local EfM group member Patty Fredlund will be an usher.

Everyone at Trinity and All Saints, as well as the entire diocese is invited to attend!
Healing the Heart of Democracy Adult Study
Today we're living through a 'turning point' period in American democracy. As campaigners jockey to define the future of our government, we wonder what all this looks like when we 'put on the mind of Christ,' as St. Paul urged us to do. Our exploration of democratic values as expressed in Healing the Heart of Democracy by Parker Palmer continues on May 4th and will run until May 18th on Wednesday evenings after Eventide at 7:15 p.m.
Pilgrimage to Ireland
All Saints-by-the-Sea will be off to discover St. Patrick's Ireland from October 16-25th on a faith tour designed by Collette.

Was Pope John Paul I murdered?

Come to All Saints Book Group - Monday, May 9

Our next meeting of the Book Club will be on Monday, May 9th at 6:00 p.m. in the Parish House. Join us for potluck dinner and discussion of In God's Name: An Investigation into the Murder of Pope John Paul I by David A. Yallop. The pope was found dead on the morning of September 29. No official death certificate has ever been issued. No autopsy was performed. Pope Paul I died suddenly just thirty-three days after his reign of pope had begun. Join us for lively discussion around this investigative journalist's great question: Was Pope John Paul I murdered? All are welcome! For questions, please contact Rev. Vicki at the church,
