At Bob Lusk Outdoors, our mission is to help bring your waters to life. Our staff is at-the-ready to assist                                             your pond and lake management needs.
Greetings, thanks for reading our newsletter.

Happy June! As we entered those proverbial "Dog Days" of summer, I just want to say "thank you" for being a part of what we do. Our team is driven to please our clients as they make a mark on society by teaching and helping people become better stewards of their water. We love to help and stand ready to help.

As you'll read below, our focus is on aeration. Summer is the toughest time of year for water chemistry and stress on a fishery. Aeration is a crucial tool to help minimize the risk of losing everything you've done for years with your fishery. Let us know how we can help. Call the office at (903)564-5372 and we'll be ready to offer assistance.

One other thing, if you don't mind. Please go to the Pond Boss and find the link for a quick survey. We're trying to wrap our brains around the impact to angling that private pond owners provide. We've been requested to team with Drs. Wes Neal and Leslie Burger to make a presentation at the next American Fisheries Society national meeting in Kansas City, Missouri in August. Your input is vital to give us much needed insight.

Thanks, and we appreciate your business.

Aeration: Good Management. Good Fish Insurance.

In an earlier newsletter, we emphasized the importance of maintaining aeration equipment. This issue, we want to relate how aeration not only sustains a healthy environment but how aeration management provides an insurance policy for protecting money and time invested in developing your fishery. Tell A Friend:  Aeration Benefits Habitat and Food Chain

According to biologists at Vertex Water Features, during summer months when water is warm, oxygen can be consumed faster than it can be replenished. Ponds and lakes may become "stratified". Warmer, oxygen-rich upper water lays on top of cool, deep, dense water with lower oxygen. These conditions reduce available fish habitat. Beneficial bacteria that slows [...]
