FAQs
Why the move?
It was apparent that every nook and cranny had been used to capacity in Suite 503. We were outgrowing our space for inventory and needed to spread out so customers could see all our merchandise

Why didn’t you move to a ground floor location?
Walk-by-traffic is the key to most business success. Within the office building we are able to potentially triple our existing walk-by traffic. On the 4 th floor (just one floor down), we are the very first office off the elevator, and, share the floor with other successful Black-owned businesses including:  “Meal of the Day Café”, a Black-owned Soul Food Restaurant, and at least two Hair salons including Serious Locks, and, Platinum Prosperity.

Special Thanks to…
The team of energetic volunteers and staff who helped us move was ABSOLUTELY phenomenal!!! It was amazing that they finished in record time so we could re-open so quickly.  Special thanks to Deshanda Curtain-Rodney (Afriware Store Manager), who planned and executed meticulously. The entire team was Deshanda Curtain-Rodney, Elon Rodney, Michael Bracey, Kevin Nolen, Eric Rodney, Herod, Mike, Kimberly Zenobia Duncan and D. The village was in full effect and we THANK YOU for your generosity and kindness!!!

Why Now?
Afriware Store Manager Deshanda Curtain-Rodney was eyeing the space our accountant vacated recently and suggested that it would be a great location for Afriware Books. Turns out, our lease had to be renewed in August which just happened to coincide with our official 25 th Anniversary date (August 15 th ). The timing was was ripe for movement and growth.
Will you have a GRAND RE-OPENING?
Yes, please stay tuned for details. In the meantime, feel free to stop by and check out the new space, and take in the view…. Just like a breath of fresh air.
