Planning & Development Updates


Currently, the Planning & Development Department has 13 active projects. Once completed, approximately 288 jobs will be created or retained and the projects will yield $25 million in capital investments.

Get Summer Ready at Camp Registration Day

Register for Camp Friendship Camping Company (CFCC) and specialty camps on Saturday, February 24, 2018 to secure your child or teen's spot, set up installment payments and receive Early Bird pricing!  
 
Registration will take place from 9 a.m. - 1 p.m. at Gahanna City Hall, 200 S. Hamilton Rd.
 
New this year is a Fast Pass. Update and confirm your household information to save time on Camp Registration Day.

Coffee with Council

The community is invited to attend Coffee with Council on Saturday, February 24, 2018 at 9:30 a.m. at Tim Horton's 365 Agler Rd.

Come meet your council members and participate in an informal discussion about your city.

Join Us for The Big Idea Meeting

The City of Gahanna is in the process of creating a comprehensive Land Use Plan for future development. Once completed, the plan will help guide the City in meeting the needs of the community, while efficiently using resources.  

The community is invited to attend the Big Idea Meeting to share their ideas about Gahanna's future. The meeting will take place on Tuesday, February 27, 2018 at Clark Hall, 380 Granville St. from 5-7 p.m.  

State of the City 2018

Mark your calendar for Thursday, March 22, 2018 for Mayor Tom Kneeland's annual State of the City address. This year's address will take place in the Dining Hall at Columbus Academy, 4300 Cherry Bottom Road.  An open house will take place at 6 p.m. and the presentation will begin at 7 p.m.
 
The presentation will be in an interview format. Gahanna realtor and former OSU football player Obie Stillwell, host of 98.9 FM Real Estate Stocks & Jocks, will interview Mayor Kneeland.
 
This year's theme, "Strengthening Our Community," will focus on the City's accomplishments from 2017, progress on the mayor's Commitment to Gahanna 10-Point Plan, and what's in store for 2018.

Join Our Summer Team!

Would you like to work outside and with your friends this summer? Then there is no better place to work than with Gahanna Parks & Recreation!
 
Apply today for summer opportunities at our aquatic facilities (Gahanna Swimming Pool or Hunters Ridge Pool) at our summer camps or as a paddle boat attendant. These are fun first jobs for young adults offering flexible hours, leadership development and opportunities to learn life-saving skills.
 

Gahanna Residential Paper Shredding & Electronic Recycling Event

Join us for the Gahanna Residential Paper Shredding and Electronic Recycling Event on Saturday, April 21, 2018 from 9:00 a.m. - noon in the parking lot of Gahanna City Hall, 200 S. Hamilton Rd.  

Gahanna residents can drop off their family and household records for shredding, computers and other electronic devices for recycling.

Sowing Seeds of  Prosperity

Visit Gahanna invites  you to join them for their Annual Breakfast Meeting on Tuesday, February 27, 2018. Registration begins at 7:30 a.m. and the program begins at 8 a.m.

Roger Brooks, inspiring speaker and author of the popular, "Your Town: An Amazing Destination" will be the event's keynote speaker.

Herbal Adventure Family Fun Pass 

Grab your family and friends and head out on an adventure to discover the "Herb Capital of Ohio!" The new Herbal Adventure Family Fun Pass makes it fun and easy to visit participating businesses. Fun Passes may be obtained at the Gahanna Visitor Center, 167 Mill St., or any of their partner businesses to get started on your adventure.
 
Show your Fun Pass to receive exclusive offers and to collect stickers for any purchase made at each partner business. Once you've collected five stickers, redeem your pass for a choice of gifts at the Visitor Center.

FREE Produce Market


The VFW Tri-Community Post 4719, in partnership with the Mid-Ohio Food Bank, will be hosting its MASH Food Pantry - FREE produce market on
Thursday, May 10, 2018, from 3:30 - 5:30 p.m. at 75 W. Johnstown Rd.

FREE fresh food will be available to local individuals and families in need. No appointment, paperwork or pre-registration is required.

Volunteers are still needed for this event. If you have an interest in volunteering contact Post Commander Ernie Massie at 614.746.0331.
