Welcome to our Unity of Columbus Newsletter.
The Blessing of Release
We bless each of you, our spiritual family, and thank you for your subscription and readership. We are truly blessed!
Throughout this month of November, we explore the great spiritual mind faculty of Renunciation, also called "Release." When we hold on to past mistakes, harsh judgements, grudges, memories of wrongs that were committed, to us or someone else, we harm ourselves.
The Power of Renunciation enables us to forgive the past... to release and let go of fear and resentment, and give way to Love. We are created in the image and likeness of Love, which is God. It is our very nature to love, to give love, to be love. We in Unity emphasize this often, because it is such an important realization.
When we cleanse our consciousness in this way, through Release, we actually feel a sense of relief, of freedom... of peace.
This Sunday, Rev. Linda Poole Kennedy-Jackson will expand on this great Power within you, and it promises to be a very special service, indeed!
We invite you to join us at Unity of Columbus for our seasonal community activities:
- November 19 - Thanksgiving Service and Potluck Feast
- November 26 - Hanging of the Greens ("Deck the Halls" for Christmas)
- December 9 - Christmas Concert 6:30 p.m.
- December 24 - Christmas Eve Candlelighting Service 7:00 p.m.
You can heal your life - your mind, body, and affairs - through the blessing of Release. Make the effort today, to let go, and let God!
Be free, now!
In Love and Light,
Daryn L. Wells
Editor In-Chief
"To deny the flow of love in us is to deny the reality of our being.
To live with anything less than love contaminates the wholeness that we are, frustrating our potential for the creative experience of life in its fullness."

The Spiritual Snippet
In this week's Spiritual Snippet, we travel north to
Unity Center of the Heights, in Cleveland Heights, OH, where the dynamic
Rev. Tony Senf and his wife,
Rev. Susan Haberland, sing his original composition,
"Ho'oponopono: A Love Song."
What is "Ho'oponopono?" Ho'oponopono (pronounced, "ho-oh-pono-pono" - all long "Os") is an ancient Hawaiian healing and forgiveness practice. To practice Ho'oponopono, there is a simple four-step process: (1)
Repentance -
"I'm sorry"; (2)
Ask Forgiveness -
"Please Forgive Me"; (3)
Gratitude -
"I Thank You"; and (4)
Love -
"I Love You."
We invite you to breathe deeply, relax into this moment, be fully present, and allow the words of the above prayer to penetrate deep into your consciousness, as you listen to this beautiful music in meditation...

The Light of Unity
"A few persons with a vision can transform a community...
"If we have a vision of beautiful things, faith and works will transform it into actuality. 'Where there is no vision, the people perish; but he that keepeth the law, happy is he.' The law of vision is preparation.
"Even while the manifest world about us seems a wilderness as compared to the dream of our heart, we must begin to prepare a way. Knowing that our vision is of God, we must express our faith in Him by working toward the vision."

Ways YOU Can Help
Here are a few ways you can reach out in support
of the hurricane relief efforts:
UNIDOS Disaster Relief Fund (Hispanic Federation):
We continue to hold our world in prayer.
Let us remember this statement from Silent Unity:
"We heal hearts, beginning with our own. And we work for the benefit of all...
We do all we can, beginning in prayer."
It is not I, but the Christ within,
who does the work.

This Month's Power:
Renunciation
The ability to release, remove, denounce, deny, let go

"I release anything and everything that no longer serves my unfolding good."
Unity is a multigenerational ministry. As we explore The Twelve Powers each month of this year, so do our children! We invite you to check out our Youth Ministry bulletin board near Wilson Hall; celebrate our children as they discover the Power within themselves.

"Here and Now In You"
by Malcolm Schloss
I have only one friend:
Many are His forms.
He glorifies the sunsets;
Rides upon the storms.
He and I are comrades
Tried and fast and true;
Glad am I to find Him
Here and now in you!
