PARENTS! Come Learn About The Enrichment & Challenge Support Program
Wednesday, October 10, 8:15 - 9:15 am, Pierce Auditorium.
The Enrichment and Challenge Support (ECS) Program supports classroom teachers, providing challenging curriculum and extension opportunities for students who show a capacity for high levels of academic, intellectual, and creative achievement. Leslie Fagan is a part-time ECS program resource teacher on staff at Pierce. There will be a presentation and time for Q&A.

Over 25 Pierce teachers and administrators are participating in Brookline Education Foundation initiatives this year including:
- Connecting Inquiry Science & Literacy: Pre-K to Grade 2 educators are combining science inquiry and literacy instruction to support meaningful learning.
- Spark In Action: This innovative grant weaves increased physical activity into the school day to help improve student comprehension and executive function and reduce behavioral issues.

B-PEN will reveal the new findings of Brookline's latest Student Health Survey during the breakfast. We'll explore some of the latest trends in youth behavior and discuss the ramifications. Students and adults will also brainstorm behavioral "whys" and where we might go from here as a community to keep Brookline kids safe.
