As a project superintendent at RUSH Construction, Justin Grantham oversees and coordinates all aspects of a project's construction, ensuring that all work is performed safely, on or ahead of schedule, and to the client's specifications. Grantham is currently working on the Health Village East Phase 2 Building and Site Improvements project at Parrish Medical Center.
"When I first heard about RUSH Construction, I was working on a project at NASA. I asked around about RUSH, and everyone I spoke with had nothing but great things to say," said Justin. "From that moment, I knew that I wanted to be a part of this great company." Not long after, Justin stopped by RUSH's office to fill out an application.
Interestingly, soon after that, Grantham ran into RUSH's Superintendent David Humphrey in a local store. The two struck up a conversation, and Justin explained his strong interest in RUSH. "It must have gone well, because I was called in for an interview shortly after meeting David!" Grantham has now been part of the RUSH team since January, 2007.
"The best part about working for RUSH is knowing you are a part of something great," said Justin. "The RUSH team brings to the table a diversity of skills and knowledge to successfully deliver any type of project. In my years working for RUSH, I have seen first-hand the quality of service we provide to our clients. I believe this really sets us apart from others in the construction industry."
RUSH Construction has always been a strong supporter of the Central Florida YMCA. Justin recently had an opportunity to contribute his knowledge, skills, and support to perform some repairs at the local Titusville YMCA. "It felt so good to be able to donate our services to support an organization that stands for such a good cause and has helped so many people in our local community."
The most memorable moment for Justin so far was his promotion to project superintendent. "This was a great milestone, and it showed me that hard work and dedication really do pay off."
Although he was born in Lubbock, Texas, Grantham grew up in Port St. Lucie, Florida. His parents were both successful entrepreneurs: His father installed windows for residential construction, and his mother made dentures, partials, and crowns for local dentist offices. "When I was young, my father would always take me to work with him, and I enjoyed helping out and getting to see how new houses were constructed," said Justin. "I guess you can say I fell in love with construction at an early age."
Justin's Favorite Quote: "On this earth, God's work is in our hands."
