MP Profile
Meet Christina Barfield!  She and her husband, Curt, have 2 children: Chip (5), and Cori Jane (3). Her husband is a 1999 graduate of Mary Persons. Mrs. Barfield teaches the Engineering and Energy pathways in the CTAE program. This is her 3rd full year teaching at MP. What does she like most about her job?  "I enjoy seeing kids engaged in hands-on activities and connecting content with real-world." Her hobbies include reading, church, family, and working with vinyl. If she could go back in time, she would like to "go back to around 1776, to the founding of our country to see what our forefathers' vision for the USA actually was."  If she did not have to sleep, she would use the extra time to play with her family and to read. When people come to her for help, they usually have "what would you do" situations.  Her mom is the person who has influenced her life the most. "She worked hard as a single mom to provide for me." Her schoolwork and her kids taking over the bed keep her up at night.  Interesting facts about Mrs. Barfield?  Tony Orlando is her 2nd cousin and a close family member, and she said that Georgia is the 8th state in which she has lived.

Federal student aid includes Federal Pell Grants, federal student loans, and work-study opportunities. In addition to determining eligibility for federal student aid, many states, private organizations, colleges, and career schools rely on information from the FAFSA to determine eligibility for nonfederal sources of aid.

ALL students must complete this form regardless of parent income.  The 2018 FAFSA application is now open.
