Do you care about your community? Do you enjoy gardening? Do you want to make a difference? Be a leader in your community! Become a Community Garden Mentor! Mentors play a critical role in supporting community gardens in Forsyth County. Participants in the program are trained in community organizing skills and basic horticultural practices so that they can effectively set up and sustain community gardens. Click here to register for this FREE two day training. 

 

The Community Garden Mentor Program is run by Forsyth Community Gardening. There is no cost to attend the training or participate in the program. 

MICROGRANTS
FCG's Microgrant Program supports gardens located in limited resource communities. Microgrants of up to $500 are awarded on an on-going basis and applications are accepted year-round. Email Alison Duncan to request an application

I hope y'all had a wonderful Thanksgiving! 
The holiday hubbub is upon us, but before you get too swept up in the madness please be sure to fill out the form over on the left so that I can record how much your garden grew. 
     We're in the "off season" now, but that doesn't mean there's nothing to do for your community garden! This is a great time of year to grow community support and prepare for a great season next spring. Gain some community organizing skills by attending the two-day Community Garden Mentor training this month. The training is free and becoming a Mentor will benefit your garden and your community-plus it's a ton of fun!
