Be a Supporter | Be a Believer

Greetings!

Even if your children are not of school age, it’s impossible to avoid the flood of back to school items overflowing at every store, even the grocery! Now is a great time to take advantage and stock up on cheap crayons and paper for a rainy day.

Back to school time also means the freedom of summer and relaxed schedule will soon give way to routines - both new and familiar. With that in mind, getting organized and finding positive ways to support your child’s transition back to school is important:
  • Tuck a note in their lunch box that is encouraging - smiley faces and hearts can convey as much or more than words.
  • Make the last exchange before drop off positive and encouraging; give your child belief in themselves and their capabilities, no matter what the day may bring.

If getting back into a routine brings on challenging behaviors in your child that affect your daily life, resources in our community are available.  Your concerns, fears, and challenges have been experienced by other parents and there are supports to help you along the way. Asking for advice when raising children is a strength, not a weakness because parenting children can be difficult even under the best of circumstances. Just as you want to build up your child to become a strong and independent person, supports and resources can do the same for you! Not sure where to start? Contact us at the numbers below and we'll be glad to help!

“Enjoy the little things in life, for one day you may look back and realize they were the big things.”
