Time to settle in, be safe
and excel in the classroom
Thorobreds, we hope you had a safe and relaxing Labor Day weekend. With summer unofficially over, it’s time to settle in, continue to be safe and work hard to be the best Bred you can be in the classroom.

Let’s review some ways we can be safe, help stop the spread and protect the campus community.

  1. Make completing the COVID-19 Self-Screening part of your morning routine. The self- screening is now available on the GO K-State mobile app or online at kysu.edu/covid19/screening/.
  2. If you don’t feel well, stay in your residence hall or home.
  3. Mask up. Wear a face covering on campus.
  4. Wash your hands frequently. Avoid touching your eyes, mouth and nose.
  5. Practice social distancing of at least six feet apart.
  6. If you traveled away from campus over the holiday weekend, you must complete the self-reporting travel form
  7. Contact your health care provider or Health Services at (502) 597-6277 if you show symptoms of COVID-19.
  8. If you test positive for COVID-19, please call (502) 507-6271.
  9. Complete the mandatory COVID-19 training if you haven’t already done so.
  10. Clean and disinfect the spaces you inhabit frequently.

We can do this, Breds. Kentucky remains one of the states with cases that are remaining high or climbing higher. Kentucky State University cases are rising, as well. In order to stem our cases, we must follow the guidelines outlined above and in BREDS Back on the Hill. We must do all we can to protect ourselves and others to ensure a healthy and bright future for ourselves and future generations.
