DEDICATED TO CURING NEUROENDOCRINE CANCER
OCTOBER 2015

NEW NAME.  NEW LOOK.
SAME CRUCIAL MISSION.
NEUROENDOCRINE TUMOR RESEARCH FOUNDATION

The Caring for Carcinoid Foundation is now the Neuroendocrine Tumor Research Foundation! The name change comes after receiving input from patients, families, NET specialists, and researchers that a new name would honor the commitment to the vital work, but also reflect the range of patients and families dealing with NETs. Our new name is more inclusive of all types of neuroendocrine cancer and better reflects the current medical terminology for the disease. It is important that all those who are affected by neuroendocrine cancer, as well as all NET researchers, feel that they are part of our community.

Along with the name change of the organization, we are excited to be launching a new website, logo, and brand identity. Our goal is to provide a simple, easily navigable website in order to deliver the resources and information patients and researchers need in a quick and efficient way. Our mission to fund research to discover cures for carcinoid, pancreatic, and related neuroendocrine cancers is as important as ever. Thank you for being a part of the Caring for Carcinoid, and now NET Research Foundation, community. Join us for a week of online activities, as we celebrate our history and embrace our ongoing vital mission. We encourage you to visit the new site regularly, as it continues to grow with updated content and new features over the coming weeks.  Explore our new website!

In opening the conference's Clinical Science Symposium, Dr. George Fisher, Stanford Professor and NETRF Scientific Advisory Chair, reflected on the enormous progress over the last few years: from relatively few trials in NETs to the day's presentations on three successful trials.  Read More
