Safest Cities Report    

In the most recent report by CQ Press, a division of SAGE Publications, Carrollton moved up in overall rankings with a decrease in Crime in 2013. "Carrollton is one of the safest cities in the country and we are constantly striving to protect and serve our residents through our active and professional police department," said Mayor Matthew Marchant. Police Chief Rex Redden said, to gain an even better perspective, he distinguishes how Carrollton ranks alongside its north Texas counterparts to judge whether the City is making progress. For the full article on the report, click here.

Mural Draws Attention

Local artist, Theresa Mangum, responded to the Mayor's request for artists, and has completed a mural on the east side facade of the Calvert and Co. Architects office building on the Downtown Square. Marchant said his vision for the mural was driven by his passion for Downtown Carrollton.
