A Message from the President
It may not feel like it this week, but Spring is definitely in the air.  The days are getting longer and trees are starting to bloom.  It is officially the most festive time of the year in our beautiful city.  In just a few days, the  35th Annual International Cherry Blossom Festival will kick off, bringing thousands of tourists to town.  This year's event will be held March 24-April 2 and includes traditional favorites as well as exciting new events; from concerts to carnival rides, parades to food trucks, and everything in between, there is something for everyone.

In addition to all the family-friendly fun the festival offers, this is also a huge economic driver for our community. Each year, the festival and its visitors have an economic impact of over $6 million to our local economy-staying in our hotels, gassing up at our stations, eating in our restaurants and shopping in our stores.  This festival, and the numerous others we have throughout the year, support businesses so we ask our business community and individual citizens to take part in all that this great city has to offer! Now is the perfect time to be a tourist in your own hometown!
