THIS WEEK AT THE CHAMBER,  January 3

Are you staying relevant?

Oxford defines relevant as:  Closely connected or appropriate to what is being   done or considered.

When a business becomes irrelevant, it's next step is to close the doors for good. The problem most companies have when answering the question, is that as a business owner or manager, your perspective is the least important. What do your customers say?

To quote a pioneer in the retail industry, James Cash Penny, "Change is inevitable, improvement, the obvious and most desirable form". As we begin the new year, take a look at your business plan, talk with your staff and make sure you're staying relevant for your customers. In the age of internet sales and immediate gratification, it's more important than ever to stay on your guard and be at the front of trends. Exceed expectations where ever you can. If you're not, someone is and you'll feel the effects on your bottom line.

Please let us know how we can help. With our relationships with the U.S. Small Business Administration and the Small Business Development Center, The Chamber has many tools to help you do business better in 2018. Start today by reading the 12 Steps to Getting The Most from Membership and then call us. We're ready to help.
