By properly administering CPR you can help stabilize someone that is injured or ailing until help arrives. A representative from the Cherokee County Fire and Emergency Services will teach the class. *Must be 14 years of age to receive certification.

On Wednesday, May 16, the UGA Small Business Development Center at Kennesaw State University (UGA SBDC at KSU) is hosting a three-hour, hands-on workshop d ealing with difficult people and situations  taught by Dr. Susan Raines, Professor of Conflict Management, Kennesaw State University .  
 
This training will provide you with the tools to recognize different types of difficult personalities, communicate effectively with them, and use their unique skill sets to the organization's best advantage. Additionally, each attendee can choose to anonymously share examples of common problems in their workplace and receive customized advice to address those concerns.

Instructor:
Dr. Susan Raines, Ph.D. is a Professor of Conflict Management in the School of Conflict Management, Peacebuilding and Development at Kennesaw State University and Editor-in-Chief of Conflict Resolution Quarterly. In addition to teaching and research, she has mediated more than 10,000 civil and domestic disputes; she trains mediators in Georgia and around the world; she has designed and evaluated Alternative Dispute Resolution (ADR) programs for numerous U.S. state and federal agencies, and trained United Nations employees on cross-cultural conflict resolution. She is a registered civil and domestic relations trainer in the state of Georgia, and is recognized as an Advanced Practitioner by the International Association for Conflict Resolution. Susan earned her Ph.D. in Public Policy from Indiana University and her M.A. in Political Science from the University of Idaho.
