A CALL FOR VOLUNTEERS  The Humane Society's Molly Mutt III Thrift Shop is seeking energetic people to volunteer at the store. Opportunities include processing donations and assisting & checking out customers. Come for a few hours or for the day! Proceeds from the thrift shop support the homeless animals at the Shelter in Cocoa and the Merritt Island Adoption Center. They are located at 876 N. U.S. Highway 1 in Rockledge, and are open Monday - Saturday, 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. and Sunday, 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. For more information, call John at the Molly Mutt III Thrift Shop at (321) 638-8950.

 The Central Brevard Humane Society will be participating in the Cocoa Beach Regional Chamber's 10th Annual Fiesta Brevard on Friday, April 25th, from 5:30 p.m. to 9 p.m. at the International Palms Resort & Conference Center in Cocoa Beach. This festive event will showcase some of Brevard's finest non-profit organizations (including the Central Brevard Humane Society), a competition for the best salsa recipe in the area, mariachis, food, prize drawings, margaritas, games, the Fiesta Hat Contest and much more! Advanced tickets can be purchased for $10.00 each at the Central Brevard Humane Society in Cocoa, the Merritt Island Adoption Center, and any of the (4) Molly Mutt Thrift Stores. Admission includes (2) food vouchers and a cash bar will be available. Feeling lucky? Enter to win the Fiesta Treasure Basket (filled with gift certificates from local restaurants & merchants valued at over $1,000), Cocoa Beach Area Play & Stay Package and a VISA gift card. BARK IN THE PARK
 The Central Brevard Humane Society in conjunction with the Brevard County Manatees will be hosting Bark in the Park on Thursday, April 24th, at Space Coast Stadium, located at 5800 Stadium Parkway in Viera. Gates open at 5:30 p.m. with the game scheduled to start at 6:35 p.m. Parking is FREE at the entrance to Gate 5. Come enjoy an evening at the ballpark with your dog! Watch the Brevard County Manatees take on the Daytona Cubs while visiting pet vendors, participating in fun raffles and much, much more. Bring a blanket or lawn chair and watch the action from the grass berm around the outfield fence. Cost to attend the game is $4.00 per person and $2.00 per dog. All animals must be on a leash and have proof of current shots along with a county tag. The Central Brevard Humane Society will be at the event with shelter dogs available for adoption, merchandise and fun educational information about responsible pet ownership. FOO DOG DAYS
 This monthly event ( Foo Dog Days) will be held on Saturday, April 26th, at Foo Bar, located at 816 E. New Haven Avenue in Historic Downtown Melbourne, from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. It will feature adoptable dogs from the Humane Society at both Foo Bar and CBHS's Molly Mutt II Thrift Shop (half a block west of the bar), complimentary hors d'oeuvres & doggie treats, raffles & drink specials. Admission is FREE. All animals must be on a leash or in a carrier and have proof of current shots along with a county tag. The Central Brevard Humane Society will also be there providing the public with fun educational information about responsible pet ownership and will have merchandise available for purchase.
