Santa Claws is coming to town!

The Brevard Humane Society will be hosting pet photos with Santa Claws on Saturday, December 20th, from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the Humane Society, located at 1020 Cox Road in Cocoa.

Bring your pet and have their picture taken with old St. Nick.  All pets are welcome. For more information, call the Humane Society at (321) 636-3343.

PET'S PAW READINGS
Have you ever wondered what your pet is thinking or how he/she is feeling?

If so, stop by the Brevard Humane Society's Merritt Island Adoption Center, located at 155 Pioneer Road on Merritt Island on Saturday, December 20th, from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m., and have your pet's "paw" read (only $10 for a 15-minute session) by Ellen Doreen, a pet psychic.

Ellen is a gifted psychic with more than 30 years of experience. Her spiritual approach with dogs and cats can help pet parents understand what their "furry friends" are thinking and/or feeling.

Proceeds from this event will help raise awareness and financial support for the homeless animals at the Humane Society's Adoption Centers in Cocoa and Merritt Island, who need a safe and loving "forever" home.

To schedule a reading or for more information, contact Ellen Doreen at (321) 298-1624 or [email protected].

GIVE THE GIFT OF LOVE
This holiday season help hundreds of "unwanted" pets that are abandoned at the Humane Society's Adoption Centers in Cocoa & Merritt Island, who need a safe and loving "forever" home.

If you want to show your "love" for the animals, there are many different ways to help support our efforts. By making a contribution to our organization or by becoming a member.

Your tax-deductible donation will allow us to place hundreds of
dogs, cats, and other domestic pets in loving, caring new "forever" homes.

The Brevard Humane Society receives "no" federal, state or local government funding and operate primarily from contributions given to us by caring individuals & businesses in our community.

We greatly appreciate your support for these animals in our care, and assure you that your gift will do much to ensure their welfare.

LAST MINUTE GIFT IDEA FOR HOLIDAY SHOPPERS
Need to pick up a last minute Christmas gift for a friend or family member. How about a copy of the Brevard Humane Society's 2015 "Best Pets of Brevard" Calendar? They make great stocking stuffers and are only $10.00 each!

Copies can be purchased at the Humane Society at 1020 Cox Road in Cocoa; any of the (4) Molly Mutt Thrift Shops; the Merritt Island Adoption Center; local veterinary offices; and online. Become a Humane Society Member and save $5.00 off the purchase of a calendar.

Gracing the cover is Gourd and he is "striking a pose" for the camera. Other features of the calendar include the "In Loving Memory" of pets that have passed away, Honorable Mentions, Paws of Distinction and special "money saving" coupons.

All proceeds from the sales of these calendars will help to raise awareness and financial support for the "unwanted and abandoned" pets that visit the Adoption Centers in Cocoa and Merritt Island each year, who need a safe and loving "forever" home.

FOO DOG DAYS
The Humane Society will be hosting Foo Dog Days on Saturday, December 27th, at Foo Bar, located at 816 E. New Haven Avenue in Historic Downtown Melbourne, from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m.

It will feature adoptable dogs from the Humane Society at both Foo Bar and the Molly Mutt II Thrift Shop (half a block west of the bar), complimentary hors d'oeuvres & doggie treats, raffles & drink specials. Admission is FREE. All animals must be on a leash and have proof of current shots along with a county tag.

The Brevard Humane Society will also be there providing the public with fun educational information about responsible pet ownership and will have merchandise available for purchase. For more information, contact the Humane Society at (321) 636-3343.

FREE SPAY/NEUTERS FOR CATS
In these tough economic times, the Humane Society is providing a new grant funded program for cats of low-income residents of Brevard County with community cats that will enable them to be spayed/neutered for FREE.

This new program was made possible through sales of the Official Florida Animal Friend's (FAF). FAF is an organization that strives to reduce the pet overpopulation problem in the state by increasing awareness of programs that are available to pet owners and homeless animals.

To take part in this program, simply CLICK HERE to download a copy of the Spay/Neuter Program Application. Funds are limited and available on a first-come, first-serve basis.

Once the application has been completed, mail it in along with the documentation of eligibility, and a copy of your valid Driver's License or State Issued Identification Card to the:
Brevard Humane Society
1020 Cox Road
Cocoa, FL 32926

Spaying or neutering your pet is the number one way you can help reduce pet overpopulation that results in the needless euthanization of hundreds of thousands of healthy, loving animals.

For more information, contact the Humane Society's "Low Cost" Spay/Neuter & Wellness Clinic at (321) 636-3343 ext. 206 or [email protected].
