1776 CAT ADOPTION EVENT

In celebration of the July 4th holiday, the Humane Society will be hosting the Cat Adoption Extravaganza Event, from July 1st through July 11th, at the Central Brevard Humane Society and the Merritt Island Adoption Center.

This 11-day event will feature special pricing of $17.76 (adoption fee) on select adult cats at both Adoption Centers that have been there for 6 months or longer. Special pricing does not include a rabies vaccine or the purchase of a county tag.

CRITTER KARAOKE CONTEST

The Critter Karaoke Contest will be held every second Sunday of the month, starting July 13th with the finale being held on November 23rd, at H&D Roadhouse, located at 1811 E. Merritt Island Causeway on Merritt Island, beginning at 8 p.m. - to see who is the best karaoke singer in Brevard! There will be (2) winners each month who qualify for the finals. One "winner" will be determined by who raises the most money for the Central Brevard Humane Society at the end of each qualifying round. The other "winner" will be decided by celebrity judges for vocal quality, stage presence and audience response.

Contestants must be human and 21 years or older. Cost for entry into the contest is $5.00 per contestant. All entries (with their song choice) must be received before 8 p.m. when the contest starts, and a maximum of 20 individuals can enter per night. Cash and gift certificate prizes will be awarded to the first place performers each month. The "Best Karaoke Singer in Brevard" will be announced at the finale on Sunday, November 23rd, where all first place contestants will compete for the grand prize!

The real winners are the homeless animals as proceeds from this event will help to raise awareness and financial support for the "unwanted and abandoned" pets that visit the Humane Society & their Merritt Island Adoption Center each year, who need a safe and loving "FURever" home. Pet food and supplies are also welcome at each month's Critter Karaoke Contest.

2015 "BEST PETS OF BREVARD" CALENDAR CONTEST

It's that time again for your pet to "strike a pose"! So, dust off your camera, set up the lighting and get ready for your pet to be an instant celebrity or maybe even Mr. or Miss July!

The Central Brevard Humane Society is proud to be sponsoring the 23rd Annual "Best Pets of Brevard" Calendar (Photo) Contest. Don't let this opportunity pass you by - it's a chance to have your companion (furry, feathery or scaly) grace the cover of what has become an annual tradition. The cost $10 per "pet" photo entry. To enter your pet into the "Best Pets of Brevard" Photo Contest, simply CLICK HERE to download a copy of the entry form. All calendar entries must be received - no later than Friday, July 18th.

Has your animal companion passed away? You can remember them by having their name, date of birth & death mentioned on the "In Memory of Page" of the calendar. 3RD ANNUAL TUXES & TAILS GALA

The Central Brevard Humane Society will be hosting the 3rd Annual Tuxes & Tails Gala... Live on the Catnip Carpet on Saturday, August 23rd, at the Cocoa Civic Center, located at 430 Delannoy Avenue in Cocoa Village, from 5:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m.

Join honorary hosts Susie & Tom Wasdin, as the event will be a howling good time filled with excitement and anticipation to see who will show up live on the Catnip Carpet with their pet parents. Mike and Mindy of Lite Rock 99.3 FM will be emceeing the event. The program will include star performances from the Historic Cocoa Village Playhouse Presenters, live & silent auctions, complimentary Pawtinis & Barkaritas, a buffet dinner, festive dance music, and a special presentation to recognize community leaders who have significantly contributed to the organization's success.

The cost to attend will be $75 per person or $150 per couple. V.I.P. packages are still available. The dress for the evening will be black, white and glamorous.

This elegant evening serves as a major fundraiser for the Central Brevard Humane Society, proceeds raised will be used to continue renovation on the aged 5,300 square foot shelter. The facility has housed and cared for thousands and thousands of unwanted & abandoned pets over the years, and is in great need of repair.
