District News
Superintendent's Corner
We are grateful to the Whitnall community for supporting our district through the passing of the referendum on April 3. We will now begin to develop the detailed architectural drawings and information to go to market for the referendum bonds. While there may be some smaller construction projects this summer, the majority of the work won't occur until next school and into the summer of 2019. We will continue to keep you posted on the progress in our district communications.

On Tuesday night, we hosted our last Parent Learning Academy of the year, which was focused on school safety. The panel represented district officials, law enforcement, and community mental health agencies. The conversation was outstanding, and parent participants appreciated learning more about the community partnerships with the district and services provided to our students.   Click here if you would like to see the video of the presentation.

Tornado and Severe Weather Awareness Week
This week is Tornado and Severe Weather Awareness Week in Wisconsin. The National Weather Service in Wisconsin and Wisconsin Emergency Management are asking that everyone take time to go over their safety plans so that they will be ready if severe weather strikes. The time to prepare is before the storms hit. Edgerton Elementary staff and students conducted a tornado drill on Thursday.  It is a good idea to review your safety plans at home as well.
Wisconsin Forward Exam
Edgerton students will take the Wisconsin Forward Exam during the next couple of weeks. This is our third year taking this version of the state assessment that will be administered in English language arts and mathematics in grades 3 through 5, in science in grade 4, and in social studies in grade 4. This assessment gives us valuable information and our students always show maximum effort and concentration. Please make sure your child is well rested and has eaten breakfast before coming to school.
