District News
Superintendent's Corner
At our Monday district professional learning day, Sergeant Lindstrom from the Greenfield Police Department spoke with our staff about school safety. In addition to sharing our school partnership, he also answered questions for staff members. Remember that our April 10 Parent Learning Academy will be focused on school safety.

On Thursday, we held our last referendum informational session and had our largest turnout yet. We heard great questions and saw great engagement from our district residents. Please remember to absentee vote, if you will be out of town on April 3. Further details about absentee voting can be found below.

The calendar turned to spring this past week, and spring sports are getting underway. It looks like we might miss the pending snowfall.

Feel free to contact me at [email protected] and follow me on Twitter !

Safety Tips
As school safety has moved to the forefront of our concerns and conversations, we have decided to introduce this recurring Connect item that offers safety tips for parents each week. These tips are courtesy of the Greenfield Police Department.

  • Listen to your child if he or she shares concerns about friends who may be exhibiting troubling behaviors. Share this information with a trusted professional, such as the school psychologist, principal, or teacher.
  • Be involved in your child's school life by supporting and reviewing homework, talking with his or her teacher(s), and attending school functions such as parent conferences, open houses, and PTO meetings.
  • Encourage your child to engage in before and after school programs.

This survey is part of a federal data collection that measures parent perception of the IEP process and parent involvement. Locally, the information will be used to review our practices and plan for improvements.

You should have received an email last Friday with an individual code for accessing the survey. If you did not receive the email or have experienced difficulties, please email [email protected]
