Annual Meeting
The district's annual meeting is on September 24 at 6:30 PM. We have created a Facebook event , and the budget hearing booklet can be found on our website. Following the budget hearing and annual meeting there is a regular monthly meeting. Click here for the agenda.
Speech and Language Screenings
October 1-5, the speech and language pathologists from our elementary schools will be conducting speech and language screenings for all 4-year-old students enrolled or residing in the Whitnall School District. The screening will briefly assess sound production skills, as well as the understanding and expression of language skills.

If you are interested in having your child’s speech and language skills screened, please call Kelly Pluta at 414.525.8953 to set up an appointment.
Highway to Hales
On September 22, there will be a community celebration, "Highway to Hales." The bash is meant to encourage people to patronize the local businesses that have been impacted by the Highway 100 road work. It will also be a great opportunity to bring the community together. The event will feature many local organizations and businesses, including Whitnall! Our Jazz Band and Cheer Squad will be there! Click here for an article on the event. Absence Reporting
Remember: If your child will be absent or you need to pick up your child early for an appointment, please call Mrs. Kraft at 525-8513 or use the online reporting tool   to make arrangements.   
Yearbook Reminders
Senior pictures are due no later than December 1.   Click here to upload your student's senior picture.

Don't wait to purchase a senior ad, honoring your graduate in the 2018-19 yearbook. Senior ad deadline is December 1st.   Click here and scroll to the bottom of the page to get started.

Books are on sale now for $60, but only until November 19th. After, the price goes up to $70.   Click here to order a 2018-19 yearbook for $60 .
Homecoming Dance Tickets
Homecoming Tickets will be sold during lunches next week Tuesday (9/25), Wednesday (9/26) and Thursday (9/27). Students MUST have the correct signed permission slip(s) to purchase your ticket. Guests from another school must complete the GUEST form, which requires a principal signature. Permission forms can be picked up in the main office. 

Tickets are $20. Please make checks payable to Whitnall High School.

If you choose to buy your tickets on the last day (Thursday), you will need to pick up your actual ticket during your lunch on Monday, October 1. No physical tickets will be given out on Thursday. There will be no tickets sold after Thursday, September 28.

STAR Math and Reading Reports
Fall STAR Math and Reading reports will be sent home with 9th and 10th grade students on Monday, October 1. The information contained in these reports will be used by teachers as one piece of the overall picture of your child's current needs in specific academic areas.

Whitnall Middle School
School Photos
On Thursday, October 4, students at WMS that have not gotten their picture taken will have an opportunity during the school day. Come looking your picture best on October 4! There will be a November date for re-takes. The date is yet to be determined.
Washington DC Trip Meeting
An informational meeting will be held October 2 at 6:00 PM for our 8th grade Washington DC trip. The trip will be taking place the week of May 7, 2019.

Edgerton Elementary
Morning Drop Off
Students should be dropped off at school no earlier than 8:20 AM as there is no adult supervision on the playground until that time.  Students may enter the building when the first bell rings at 8:30 AM.

K4 and K5 students enter through door #6 while all other students enter through doors #8 (grades 1-4) and #10 (grade 5).  After 8:35 am, the doors are locked and students should enter the building through door #1.
After School Programs
Mad Science will be offering a 6 week program on Fridays after school beginning on September 21st.  This program is led by trained instructors and will include topics such as entomology, physics, special effects, geology and more.  For more information and the registration form click here .  Futura Language Professionals will also be offering a Spanish language class on Mondays after school beginning October 15th.  This will be a 16 week program. PTO Book Fair and Spaghetti Dinner
The Edgerton PTO will be sponsoring its annual Book Fair from October 1 - 5, 2018. This year's theme is "Enchanted Forest - Let Your Imagination Grow!" Every Edgerton student will receive a coupon for a free book courtesy of the PTO. Students will visit the book fair during their regularly scheduled library time.  The book fair will also be open on Thursday evening, October 4th during the annual Spaghetti Dinner. The PTO will also be looking for some volunteers to help out during the book fair and spaghetti dinner. Watch your email for the sign up schedules! Thanks in advance for helping to make these events successful.
School Pictures
Thank you to all who attended our Back to School night in August. We realize that some families were unable to attend and did not have their child photographed. Our school photographer will return to Edgerton on Tuesday, October 2nd for "Picture Day - Take 2". All students must be photographed for school records. Order forms will be sent home with those students that were not photographed in August. Picture retake day has been rescheduled and will take place on Tuesday, October 30. If you have any questions about ordering photos, please contact Gilbert Frenn Photography at 414-321-1335.
Hales Corners Elementary
Parking Lot Pick Up Reminders
HCE Community t-shirts have arrived and will be tie dyed by all students during their specials time on Monday, September 24. Students will wear their Art smock for this project. K4 parents should send an art smock.  Information about washing will come home with the tie-dyed shirt.

We need students to wear them on Friday, October 5 for our kick off assembly. Your help is greatly appreciated!
PTO Tailgate Tuesday
Join us on September 25 from 3:35 - 5:00 for the PTO Tailgate Tuesday, held by the glass lobby at the south end of the building. This is a great chance to meet and socialize with parents while students play.  Hot dogs, chips, desserts and beverages are available for sale. Volunteers are still needed; click HERE to sign up.
School Photo Day
September 26 is school photo day for students who didn’t have their picture taken on the Back to School night.  The form, located HERE , should be filled out for every child getting their picture taken. Once all of the students have photos taken, we will have a picture re-take day in early November for photos that didn’t capture that ideal smile.
