ACF Culinary Team USA 2020 Holds Fundraiser
ACF Culinary Team USA 2020 raised $12,000 at a fundraiser and dinner hosted by Chef Cesar Madrano at the Indigo Hotel, Los Angeles, on February 23, 2018.

The team created a superior culinary experience that was enjoyed by 130 guests. Many thanks to Robert Phillips, CEC, CCA, AAC , and ACF Chefs de Cuisine Association of California for organizing the event.

Whole Life Challenge/Culinary Team USA 2020 Fundraiser
ACF has partnered with Whole Life Challenge to offer a Health Challenge/Culinary Team USA Fundraiser from April 15-May 25, 2018 .

Improve your health with this six-week, habit-changing experience where you will focus daily on seven habits: nutrition, exercise, mobility, sleep, hydration, lifestyle practices, and reflection.

Prizes will be awarded to the top-placing members in each region, including a private training session with Eric the Trainer at Cook. Craft. Create. in New Orleans, July 15-19, 2018.

Allowance of Immersion Circulators
The Certification Commission has voted to allow immersion circulators at practical exams with the stipulation that it is NOT an approved cooking method and candidates must bring their own, just as they would bring their own knives. You may want to consider this as you prepare for your upcoming practical exam. Don’t forget that you can register online for your upcoming practical exam.

The Vilcek Foundation is currently seeking applicants for the  2019 Vilcek Prizes for Creative Promise in Culinary Arts , and accepting applications from foreign-born culinary professionals age 38 and under who are based in the U.S. from now through  June 11, 2018 .
