The Art of Surrender
"We want to get you out of your mind, out of the controlled idea that you are an intelligent and together person and into what is here in this moment beyond such ideas. The mind is always trying to put things in order. But once the mind puts things in order, you are out of touch with what is here. Unconsciously, the mind has an image of how a perfect person should be and the mind tries to emulate that. Not on a conscious level, you are not intentionally doing it. But once you do it, then consciousness cannot touch you. Life cannot touch you. So the first step is to be aware of this. Be aware of how the mind tries to put everything into neat little piles of understandings and justifications. Second is to allow yourself to become undone. Allow yourself to be naked and raw in this moment. Experience with pure honesty what is here in this moment without holding on to any ideas of what that might be. It is this honest awareness that is the key. We refer to ourselves as someone in time. Someone with past experiences and memories. But I want you to go beyond that thought construct and truly experience what is here.
Because what is here is only here now and then it is gone. There is such freedom just in that realization. You can only feel this moment. You can't do it with the mind, you have to feel it. Beyond emotion, beyond the intellect. Surrender to what is here completely. Give up being together and simply fall apart in this moment and experience what is left. Then you will truly experience peace. You will truly experience freedom. You will realize that silence that is underneath everything.
That silence that only fully reveals itself when you have come undone. Blessings, Kip" Please visit: http://www.bliss-music.com/meditation_music.htm and listen to the music samples from the Infinite Sky Enlightened Meditation CDs.

(Continuation of tape 4a...)
I would suggest you use a combination of both, surrender and then alertness. Really, you can't separate them. They, of course, take you to the same place in realization. And then finally they merge. When the realization is there, they merge. They don't remain separate. |
Reflections of the One Life: Daily Pointers to Enlightenment by Scott Kiloby by BookSurge Publishing Paperback ~ release Date: 2009-08-10

April 23rd Reflections of the One Life There are many different expressions of non-duality. It is easy to get hooked into one particular way of pointing to it. Each expression, from the clearest non-dual pointer to the most confusing one, is an expression of Oneness. This is not to say that all expressions are equally clear. Some words point more directly and clearly to the realization. But the pointer is never that which it describes. The One Life is like a mirror. There is only one mirror. However, there are various reflections of that single mirror. Non-dual pointers appear as reflections. The moment there is attachment to any reflection, including a non-dual pointer, separation and conflict happen. Some pointers in these reflections may seem unclear. If you read a pointer that seems unclear, move on to the next pointer. Don't get stuck. But if stuckness happens, seeing it frees you from its grip. In the clear seeing that you are nothing being everything, all reflections are allowed to be just as they are. That last sentence is merely a reflection. Use the reflection as a pointer, then let it pass. Reflections, by their nature, have a short life span. They arise and pass. Attachment just means focusing in on a reflection in some attempt to make it into truth or permanence. That is ignorance. |

Consciousness Is Its Own Content
If our credo is, "Everything is Consciousness, therefore everything is as good as anything else, therefore I cannot and need not change my suffering," then why not apply that attitude to the current situation in the first place and welcome it exactly as it is? Instead of accepting our rejection of the current situation, why not simply accept the current situation itself? Suffering would cease right there.

The Third Eye Chakra: The Pituitary Gland, Pineal Gland, and Hypothalamus
THE CHAKRA COMMONLY KNOWN AS THE THIRD EYE, Ajna, is the last chakra in this material reality. With the seventh chakra, we enter a different world.

Ajna means "center of order." When we open our inner eye, we gain new vision that affects every aspect of our experience. With the opening of this chakra our questions and need for answers vanish, as does our dependence on beliefs. The essentials of life become crystal clear because we enter into inner knowing.

Chapter 79
Person, Witness and the Supreme
Q: I find that I am always restless, longing, hoping, seeking, finding, enjoying, abandoning, searching again. What is it that keeps me on the boil? M: You are really in search of yourself, without knowing it. You are love-longing for the love-worthy, the perfect lovable. Due to ignorance you are looking for it in the world of opposites and contradictions. When you find it within, your search will be over. |
