The Dance Corner News: December 2016

It's the most wonderful time of the year!

I love the holidays.  Greenery, bows, candles and lights all around. Everything seems so magical this time of year.

We all have special holiday memories.  I have a vivid recollection of walking into our living room one Christmas morning and seeing the Barbie Dream House assembled under the tree for me and my sister (although I am not sure I was planning on letting her play with it)!  I was so excited. That dream house was in our family for many years and I never forgot the thrill of seeing it under the lights of the tree that morning.

I want to do what I can to be sure every child has that magical moment that they remember for a lifetime, so 9 years ago I started The Winter Follies to support the Marine Corps Toys for Tots program. There are many wonderful charities out there, but this one speaks to me and I think that magic of gift giving and receiving is something we all can relate to, young and old.  

Our annual Winter Follies performance is a toy drive.  The price of admission is one new, unwrapped toy for Toys for Tots.  If you forget to bring a toy, you can pay a $10 admission fee, but we really like to get toys.  Last year we collected over 300 toys! 
This year's performance is Saturday, December 10th at 4:30pm at the Clinton Town Hall Auditorium. There are dance numbers from our current students and alumni in the show as well as musical performances from our friends at Corner Music of Old Saybrook. The show is appropriate for all ages and should be about 1 hour long.

Seating is first come first serve and the show does fill up so come early! Doors open at 4pm.  If you can't attend, but would like to give a toy, please bring your toy donation to our dance shop before 12/8.

The Dance Corner will be
closed 12/12-1/1.

We will reopen for the second half of our   
2016- 2017 class session on January 2, 2017

Semi-Annual Tuition Payments 

Families who pay their Dance Corner bill semi-annually will be receiving their

billing statements for the 2nd half of the dance year this month. 

These invoices cover tuition for January-May. In order to receive your 5% discount,

your invoice must be paid by January 2, 2017.

Costume Orders

Costumes for all students dancing in the annual recital will be ordered next week. Costumes are non-refundable and non-returnable. If your child will not be participating in the annual recital, please let Miss Carrie know by December 4th. 

Families are responsible for their entire costume bill even if their child withdraws from classes between December and June.

Tuition Payments
Monthly Tuition bills are due the first of each month. Make your payments conveniently and securely online by logging into our Customer Portal.

We accept credit and debit card payments online or you can pay directly from your bank account by e-check.

Customers can also opt for auto-pay and avoid the extra step of logging in to pay each month. Notify our office that you would like to be an auto-pay customer, enter your payment method into your account online and your account will be automatically charged on the 1st of each month.

You may also pay by credit/debit card, cash or check in our Dance Shop.  

All customers were required to submit a credit/debit card or bank draft information at registration. If your account is not paid in full by the 15th of the month, this payment method will be charged for the balance due on the 16th of the month. If your payment is declined, a $10 late fee will be applied to your account.  A $25 service fee will be charged for all returned checks.
