The Dance Corner News: November 2017
November already? Wow! I can't believe how fast this season is going!

The holiday season is upon us and for me this is a time to reflect on the past year and the many blessings in my life. I am thankful for many things, my family, my health and my lovable, rascally dogs!

Also, I am thankful to my supportive staff here at TDC and to the families and children who have chosen to be a part of our dance community. I never imagined when I started this journey as a dance studio owner, that it would be more than just a job, but it is. The daily challenges, rewards and most importantly the human interactions that this dance-studio-owner life provide me are incredible and I can't imagine getting out of bed every morning for any other job. I am infinitely thankful for all of you who allow me to live this life everyday.

I wanted to expand on the idea of Thanksgiving this year and invite all of you to participate in Thankful Giving November with me.

More Ways to Give

Thankful Giving November is project for our studio community to share what we are thankful for, while giving back to those in need. There are two parts to this event that you can participate in.

Part 1 - Donate 3 non-perishable food items and you can get a "Dress Code Pass", to wear any athletic or dance related attire you choose for your class, and not have to follow the dress code. (For each class you are in, you must donate 3 non-perishable food items to get a pass). With that being said, your hair still has to be off of your face and you have to have the correct footwear for class.

Part 2 - We will be selling paper leaves to write what you are thankful for to place on our Thankful Giving Tree in the main studio lobby -- each leaf is $1 and The Dance Corner will match each $1. Added bonus - the leaves are made from seed paper, so once we are finished with the campaign you take your leaf home, plant it and you will have beautiful flowers!

All donations of food and proceeds from the sale of leaves will go to the Shoreline Soup Kitchens.

Food donations should be brought to the Dance Shop and you can purchase your Thankful leaves in the shop as well.

Please help us give back to those in need this holiday season.

Thank you for choosing The Dance Corner!

Let's do even more for our community in 2017!
Our TDC family is growing... We are thrilled to announce that TDC instructor, Miss Sam is expecting twins this spring! We are all so happy for Miss Sam and her husband Mike. These will be the first additions to their family after getting married last October. We can't wait to meet their new little dancers in 2018! If you see her around the studio, please take a moment to congratulate her.
Bring a Friend to Class next week!

Time to Measure for Costumes!

It's hard to believe it but we are a 3rd of the way through the dance year, and it's time to start thinking about the recital. Miss Carrie will order costumes at the beginning of December. In order to ensure proper costume fit, students will be measured by the TDC staff during their classes this month.
Costume Orders
Costumes for all students dancing in the annual recital will be ordered at the beginning of December. Costumes are non-refundable and non-returnable. If your child will not be participating in the annual recital, please let Miss Carrie know by  December 1st
Families are responsible for their entire costume bill even if their child withdraws from classes between December and June.
