The Dance Corner News: October 2017
More Fun in October!
Fall is here! This is my favorite season in New England. I love the crisp fall air, stunning foliage. Although I mourn the loss of those long summer days, I look forward to cozy evenings wrapped in a blanket by the fire with a mug of warm apple cider. Autumn is the quintessential New England season.

I am so excited to celebrate fall here at the studio this month with our Community Day of Dance on Sunday 10/15. We will have a bounce house, popcorn machine, pumpkin painting and face painting. Plus Elsa and Belle will be stopping by to join the fun.

During the festivities we will be accepting supply donations for Child Life at Yale New Haven children's hospital. Because of germs and possible contamination, all donation items must be new. This makes it more difficult for Child Life to keep up a steady supply of arts and crafts supplies, games, etc for their patients. Stop by our Community day on 10/15 from 12-5 and bring a new item to donate to child life.

We will also be dancing at Community Day. Moms, dads, brothers and sisters can all dance together at our free, fun family dance class. No experience necessary. Laurent Mullen from Ballroom Dancin' will be offering a free Salsa dance class for all ages and abilities.

For our more advanced dancers we are offering four free master classes in Ballet, Modern and composition throughout the day, taught by local CT dancers.

I am most excited for our panel discussion with these professional artists on "Career Pathways in Dance". This will be a great opportunities for our teens and tweens to find out more about how your dance training can translate into a career. The artists participating have a variety of different careers in dance from dance therapist to professional performer. I look forward to them sharing their dance journeys with our young adult dancers and answering their questions.

Our dance class season has gotten off to a roaring start, and we are not slowing down... This fall we are launching new programs and planning even more fun for our dancers!

Coming this month....

Discover Dance Days...and our super fun Halloween Dress Up Week!

Coming in November...Bring a Friend Week

and more!

I hope you are enjoying your classes, making new friends and having fun! If you have any concerns, please email, call me or just stop by my office in The Dance Shop. There is no problem we can't solve, so please speak with me if ever you are not completely satisfied with your experience at TDC.
