Principal's Message
Happy Friday Delaware Trail Families,
March came in this week like a "lion" on the 1st. Here's to better weather as we head into the rest of the month. We conducted our 1st round of ISTEP Testing this week. Our students and teachers did a wonderful job. Our primary classes "adopted" 3rd, 4th and 5th grade classes surprising them with cards and words of encouragement.
We also kicked off our week with our annual Time with Teachers Event. This event was a huge success. There were over 300 students in attendance. A majority of our staff members in our building also participated in leading activities. Many thanks to Mrs. LeBlanc, Mrs. Meiners, to our staff and to YOU for supporting this for our students.
We have just two short weeks left in this quarter. Let's make them count!
Have a great weekend,
Mrs. Greene

Volunteer Criminal Background Check Policy
|
|
In an effort to keep our school safe, all volunteers much complete a volunteer application form/criminal background check request and be approved as a volunteer prior to volunteering. The form must be completed at least two (2) weeks prior to the event in which the volunteer chooses to participate in.
Volunteer background checks are completed by the Human Resource Department using the State of Indiana Police criminal records database and the sex offender database.
Volunteer criminal background checks are valid for 3 years. After 3 years volunteers will be required to complete a new volunteer request form and the status as a volunteer will be reconsidered.
Volunteer criminal background checks are required for:
-attending or assisting with class parties
-assisting school staff in the classroom or school building
-having lunch at school building with a student
