 Principal's Message
Greetings Delaware Trail Families,
We are back in the swing of things after our long break. I am looking forward to our PTSG Sponsored Grandparents Breakfast on Tuesday. Our students are also excited to participate in our Veteran's Day Convocation on that day. I have visited the music classes and students are ready to sing their patriot hearts out! Next week, we will also have our Fall Book Fair during your child's Media Special, so please make sure to plan appropriately for this event.

In this issue, we have listed all of the students who received All A and A/B Honor Roll.  I am so proud of our scholars!
Have a great weekend,
Mrs. Greene

Detention
As another layer to our behavior system, we will be starting before school detentions on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 8:00-8:30 a.m. The purpose of this is to provide another support to address behaviors that are not working inside of the realm of the classroom. Staff will contact the parent to set up a time if your child receives this consequence. Please note that parents will be required to bring their child into the office and sign them in promptly at 8:00 a.m.
We appreciate your support!

Volunteer Criminal Background Check Policy
In an effort to keep our school safe, all volunteers much complete a volunteer application form/criminal background check request and be approved as a volunteer prior to volunteering. The form must be completed at least two (2) weeks prior to the event in which the volunteer chooses to participate in.

Volunteer background checks are completed by the Human Resource Department using the State of Indiana Police criminal records database and the sex offender database.

Volunteer criminal background checks are valid for 3 years. After 3 years volunteers will be required to complete a new volunteer request form and the status as a volunteer will be reconsidered.

Volunteer criminal background checks are required for:
-attending or assisting with class parties
-assisting school staff in the classroom or school building
-having lunch at school building with a student
