Deuteronomy 28:1-14 (KJV)
1 And it shall come to pass, if thou shalt hearken diligently unto the voice of the LORD thy God, to observe and to do all his commandments which I command thee this day, that the LORD thy God will set thee on high above all nations of the earth:
2 And all these blessings shall come on thee, and overtake thee, if thou shalt hearken unto the voice of the LORD thy God.
3 Blessed shalt thou be in the city, and blessed shalt thou be in the field.
4 Blessed shall be the fruit of thy body, and the fruit of thy ground, and the fruit of thy cattle, the increase of thy kine, and the flocks of thy sheep.
5 Blessed shall be thy basket and thy store.
6 Blessed shalt thou be when thou comest in, and blessed shalt thou be when thou goest out.
7 The LORD shall cause thine enemies that rise up against thee to be smitten before thy face: they shall come out against thee one way, and flee before thee seven ways.
8 The LORD shall command the blessing upon thee in thy storehouses, and in all that thou settest thine hand unto; and he shall bless thee in the land which the LORD thy God giveth thee.
9 The LORD shall establish thee an holy people unto himself, as he hath sworn unto thee, if thou shalt keep the commandments of the LORD thy God, and walk in his ways.
10 And all people of the earth shall see that thou art called by the name of the LORD; and they shall be afraid of thee.
11 And the LORD shall make thee plenteous in goods, in the fruit of thy body, and in the fruit of thy cattle, and in the fruit of thy ground, in the land which the LORD sware unto thy fathers to give thee.
12 The LORD shall open unto thee his good treasure, the heaven to give the rain unto thy land in his season, and to bless all the work of thine hand: and thou shalt lend unto many nations, and thou shalt not borrow.
13 And the LORD shall make thee the head, and not the tail; and thou shalt be above only, and thou shalt not be beneath; if that thou hearken unto the commandments of the LORD thy God, which I command thee this day, to observe and to do them:
14 And thou shalt not go aside from any of the words which I command thee this day, to the right hand, or to the left, to go after other gods to serve them.
And YES, I know it is SATURDAY and I am EARLY!!!!
Amanda woke me at 5 AM, (PRAISE THE LORD FOR AWAKENING AGAIN, LES!!)
If you are wondering who LES is, he is my Canadian friend and fellow minister who took the time to write me last week with a question.
He first THANKED me for "PRAISING THE LORD for awakening AGAIN," and asked me who was the "L" "in PTL" and wondered out loud who "J" was as in "WWJD!?"
I enjoy and love hearing from ALL of you!!!
I had bad dreams last night-I too often have the same dream and dreams.
In these bad dreams, I can never be good enough or succeed or win!
Believe it or not, I have suffered all of my life with low self-esteem and self doubt and even an inferiority complex.
I can "seemingly" never arrive or be good enough and am my own worst critic.
I KNOW some of you can identify with me!!!
I am and was born the "Little" brother.
My OLDER bother is and always will be OLDER, bigger, stronger, smarter and "good-er!!!"
He reads these sermons and I am sure he will get a kick out that sentence!!
As such, I COULD NOT COMPETE!
So, I did what many siblings do, I took the other route-that is UNTIL that fateful day in June, 1971, where I had my DAMASCUS ROAD experience and Jesus ARRESTED me!!!!!
Enough about me!!!
I struggled all night in my dream-AGAIN-battling to be "good enough," and to win, and failing miserably AGAIN, I woke up determined to change my thought pattern.
SUDDENLY, God spoke the above Passages of Scripture to me and told me:
"
13 And the LORD shall make thee the head, and not the tail; and thou shalt be above only, and thou shalt not be beneath"
I was instantly reminded of Zig Ziglar's words where he said that ANYBODY, (INCLUDING you and me) could become a medical doctor!!!!
All it takes is for one to purposely DEDICATE 15 plus years of their lives to study and sacrifice!!!!!!!
As the renowned philosopher RINGO STAR once said:
"
IF YA WANNA SING THE BLUES, YOU GOTTA PAY THE DUES!!!"

13 I can do all things through Christ which strengtheneth me.
SAY THAT TO YOURSELF TODAY-OVER AND OVER AND OVER!!!!
YOU, ME, do NOT have to be the loser anymore!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Only when WE get SICK AND TIRED of being the VICTIM can WE become the VICTOR!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I do NOT want to sing anymore, "I'VE HAD MANY TEARS AND SORROWS!"
Instead, let's YOU and I began to sing:
"TO GOD BE THE GLORY FOR THE THINGS HE HATH (and IS/WILL DO!) DONE!!!!
Go ahead-CHANGE YOUR THOUGHT PATTERN!!
RE-READ DEUTERONOMY 28:1-14 AGAIN!!!!
