The students here are on a journey in which they will leave their mark on the world.

Meet the Seniors:                 Nickya Immani King

Nickya Immani King is a Baldwin High School Senior who has participated in the Early College Program since 7th grade. She is the daughter of Ms. April Dennis and Mr. Nicholas King. Nickya is currently dually enrolled at Georgia Military College and hopes to continue her post-secondary education at the University of West Georgia while majoring in biology. Nickya has been a Baldwin Braves cheerleader and softball player for four years, and she has also enjoyed participating in the High Achievers program. Nickya has shared her Early College experience below.

"Early College has taught me so many life lessons in the past five years. From public speaking to being a better person, in general. The faculty has pushed me to do things I would not be able to do on my own. I have a bond with my classmates that not every high school student has. As a current senior, I honestly can say that I would not trade this experience for the world."

GCEC Technology Club Success!

Our Technology Club had a wonderful experience at the Oconee RESA Regional Technology Fair.  We entered six projects into the regional technology fair, and four of our projects placed. Zoey Monica won first place in Internet Applications for grades 9 and 10, and Nayteria Waller won first place in Internet Applications for grades 7 and 8. Daniel Jones won second place for 3D Modeling, and Harlee Robinson won second place for Project Programming.  Great job, GCEC Tech Club!

It was a heart-warming experience to see Kaylie Pritchard (Class of 2012) at the Baldwin County School District Recruitment Fair as she introduced herself and distributed resumes in search of a special education teaching position. This will be our first educator! Kaylie will graduate from Georgia College May 2017.
