For the first time in the history of Georgia College Early College, we are honored to have a homecoming court representative! Jaleeceya Myrick not only was on the Baldwin High School Homecoming Court, she also won the title of BHS Junior Princess 2016!
A big thank you to Dr. Cloise Williams (BHS Principal), Ms. Candice Haynes, and all supporters who assisted Jaleeceya in participating in this event, as she continues to recuperate from injuries sustained from a recent accident.
Congratulations, Princess Jaleeceya!

National Chemistry Day at GC
Have you ever used a carbohydrate accelerator? As part of National Chemistry Week, the Department of Chemistry at Georgia College led a variety of chemistry demonstrations on front campus last Wednesday. Students at GCEC learned the chemistry behind explosions first-hand as they fired potatoes over one-hundred miles per hour, initiated combustion reactions in a water jug, and generated an acid-base reaction that popped caps high into the sky. Most importantly, they experienced the instrumental role that chemistry plays in operating everyday devices as well as its more complex applications. Coupled with the nice weather and beautiful backdrop of front campus, students enjoyed a day of chemistry, treats and experiential learning!
