Volunteer News
March 2017

March is Social Work month! We want to give shout out and thank you to all of the social workers we collaborate with through schools and community agencies.

Without the partnership of social workers, district liaisons, and other school/agency staff, we could not be so successful in serving our students and families.

Thank you for all that you do!
On February 24th, we hosted a volunteer/donor appreciation luncheon to mark the one-year anniversary of Ozone House's involvement with The Education Project.

We want to say a huge thank you to everyone who was able to attend the event!

We greatly appreciated the dynamic and constructive discussion and all of the opinions and information that were shared.  Because of your contributions, we have many new ideas on how to provide the best support to students experiencing homelessness in Washtenaw County.

We look forward to your continued support in helping to make our program a success.
Ozone House is the featured charity for the Ann Arbor Marathon, which will take place on March 26th!

As a part of receiving that honor, Ozone House is looking for people to volunteer at the event on our behalf.  There are opportunities for involvement on both Saturday March 25th and Sunday March 26th.

If you are interested in providing support at the marathon, you can register here.  Please designate that you are volunteering on behalf of Ozone House.

We are hoping to have a large presence at the event, so please forward the link to others that may be interested.  We hope to see you there!

The Education Project

The Education Project, sometimes known as the Education Project for Homeless Youth, is designed to ensure that students experiencing homelessness or unstable living situations enroll, regularly attend, and succeed in school.  Under the federal McKinney-Vento Homeless Assistance Act, students who are homeless must have equal access to free and appropriate public education

The Education Project works closely with liaisons in the school districts, allies within each school, community partners, and families to identify and serve all youth affected by homelessness.
