This weekend we celebrate the Twenty-Third Weekend after Pentecost. The Worship Band will play at both Sunday services. The Grades K-2 choir will sing for worship at 10:00 am.

All worship services will include Holy Communion. Come and worship:
  • Saturday at 5:30 pm
  • Sunday at 8:30 and 10:00 am
  • Wednesday at 6:00 pm
First Sundays Adult Learning: Nov. 12
Join us in the Fellowship Hall at 8:30 am on November 12 to learn about Medicare changes that could affect you in 2018. Topics include new Medicare cards, changes in Supplement insurance and the “donut hole,” and more. 
Holy Trinity Marketplace: Nov. 12
Stop by the Cafe on November 11-12 between worship services. We’ll have an array of Holy Trinity gift items, books for children and adults, Fair Trade items, and more. Several items are wrapped for simple holiday gift giving! All proceeds will be used towards the church’s outreach ministries.
Veterans Day Observance: Nov. 12
Stop by Café Koinonia this weekend to see a video honoring members and loved ones who have served in the Armed Forces. 
Pizza Fundraiser for Youth Gathering
The high school students are selling take-and-bake pizzas as a fundraiser for the youth gathering in Houston. You can order online or by paper. Paper orders are in the Narthex. We’ll be taking orders until November 27. They will be available for pick up on December 2 and 3.
These pizzas are huge and freeze fabulously!

Advent Book Study: Nov. 28 - Dec. 19
The Advent Book Study will meet on Tuesdays in room 100 from 5:30 - 6:30 pm, November 28 - December 19. Join this group as we discuss the book “ Radical Lutherans/Lutheran Radicals” by Jason Mahn. Please click here to register for the book study by November 20 so we can order books. There is reading required outside of group gatherings.
Thanksgiving Eve Worship
Thanksgiving Eve Worship will be held on Wednesday, November 22, at 6:00 pm. We invite you to enjoy pie in the Narthex following worship.
Family Promise: January 7-14
Volunteers are needed for Family Promise for our next host week, January 7 - 14. We need people to cook, drive the van, and serve as evening and overnight hosts. Sign up online. See Cyndi Olson or call the office with questions.
Holly Randell Honored at Conference
Holly Randell, director of Small Discoveries Preschool, is one of 15 scholarship recipients chosen as exemplary emerging leaders in the field. She will be attending the NAEYC (National Association for the Education of Young Children) Annual Conference, Nov. 15-18, in Atlanta. She will have an opportunity to learn about current research and latest trends in early childhood education, as well as network with others in the field.
Help fill the Sanctuary with Poinsettias this Christmas season! Your $15 gift will purchase a plant and greenery that will decorate the church through January. Holy Trinity Food Pantry
The Holy Trinity Food Pantry is in need of the following items:
  • Baking supplies
  • Cereals
  • Personal care items, including feminine hygeine products and disposable diapers
  • Recently purchased ground beef, chicken or other mainstay meats that are in 1-2 pound packages and have an easy-to-read date on them. Take them directly to the freezer in the Fellowship Hall, next to the Hearty Blessings freezer. 
Please continue your generous support.  Credit/debit card donations can be placed at the Giving Station located in the Narthex.  Your monetary, food and personal care gifts are an outreach of God's love to the Ankeny community.
