This weekend we celebrate the Third Sunday of Easter.  The Adult Choir will sing at 8:30 am and the Grades 6-10 Choir will sing at 10:00 am on Sunday. All services will include Holy Communion.

M&M's for World Hunger
Thank you for your generous gifts and participation in the collection for World Hunger. We are just shy of raising $6,000, but our goal as a congregation is $7,000.

FreeStore Donation Drive
Help victims of domestic violence start a new life!  Holy Trinity is again organizing a drive to assist families who've been identified by local agencies as needing help. This time the focus is on furniture and kitchen items.  Click here to learn more.  Please bring all items on Saturday, April 28, or Sunday, April 29. We will have the FreeStore truck in the parking lot to accept donations.
Advocacy Team Meeting - April 12
You're invited to join this newly formed team as we put hands and feet to living out our baptism by working for justice and peace in all the world. The next meeting is Thursday, April 12, in room 209 at 6:00 pm. Contact Marty Rathje, Lisa Cole or Pastor Pam with any questions.

Trivia Night - April 22
HTLC high school students will be hosting Trivia Night on Sunday, April 22, 6:00-8:00 pm. You can sign up as a team of 8, or register as individuals and we'll put you with a team. Cost is $15 per person. It's a lot of fun and laughter, and all funds raised go for a great cause! You can bring food to eat, or the students will auction off desserts your team can purchase to enjoy!

Women of the ELCA - April 28
Women of the ELCA will hold their spring gathering at HTLC on Saturday, April 28, at 9:30 am. All women are invited to attend. The presenter will be from the Iowa Homeless Youth Centers. Click here for more information.
Wartburg Choir - April 29
Holy Trinity will be hosting the Wartburg Choir on Sunday, April 29, at 4:00 pm. The concert will feature the Ankeny High School Concert Choir. Please extend invitations to your friends and neighbors.
Wanted: Wartburg Graduates & Friends

Peace After Divorce - Deadline May 1
Peace After Divorce is an 8-week series of classes for those who are separated, divorcing, or divorced. Learn ways to cope with divorce in a group facilitated by people who have also lived through divorce. The first session is Tuesday, May 8, 6:30-8:00 pm. Childcare will be available. Registration is $10. Please register online  by May 1, or  contact Lisa Strnad .
Property Work Day - May 5
Property Work Day will be held Saturday, May 5, 8:00-noon.  You can find the list of projects online or contact Mark Beeck at 515-238-7339. Many hands make light work. Please come as you are able.
Adult Learning
Adult Learning begins a new series called "The Faith of My Neighbor." We will use a new draft of a statement by the ELCA and other materials to explore how we relate to those who are of other faiths or choose not to have faith at all.
If you have questions about how Christians view and interact with people of other faiths, this class is for you! We meet Wednesday evenings at 7:15 pm in the Fellowship Hall. Contact Pastor Tim with questions, or go online to see a list of recommended books for spiritual transformation.
Eat Locally & Globally!
Global Greens farmers are former refugees who are creating paths to self- sufficiency through sustainable agriculture.  By joining the Global Greens CSA, you’re eating healthy, chemical-free produce and supporting Global Greens farmers at the same time! For just around $30.00 a week, you’ll receive a weekly box of Iowa favorites and a couple of surprises from the farmers home countries.

Holy Trinity Food Pantry
The Holy Trinity Food Pantry is in need of the following items:
  • Cake mixes and baking supplies
  • Personal care items, including shampoo, deodorant, etc.
  • Recently purchased ground beef, chicken or other mainstay meats that are in 1-2 pound packages and have an easy-to-read date on them. Take them directly to the freezer in the Fellowship Hall, next to the Hearty Blessings freezer. 
Please continue your generous support.  Credit/debit card donations can be placed at the Giving Station located in the Narthex.  Your monetary, food and personal care gifts are an outreach of God's love to the Ankeny community.
