All worship services will include Holy Communion. The Adult Choir will sing at 8:30 am and the Grades K-2 Choir will sing at 10:00 am on Sunday morning. Come and worship:

Small Discoveries Preschool Open House Cancelled
Due to today's incremental weather, the Small Discoveries Preschool Open House tonight (Jan. 11) is cancelled.
Dinner for Eight or Dessert for Eight
Join a Dinner for Eight Group and dine in your home or restaurant or join a Dessert for Eight Group and enjoy dessert at a restaurant. Each person is expected to pay for their own food at a restaurant. The important part of the gathering is to meet and connect with others. Dinner for Eight involves making a simple meal like soup and sandwiches or ordering out for pizza. The goal is to make the evening easy and hassle free. Your group will meet once a month for four months starting in February. Sign up online or in the Narthex by Wednesday, January 31 .

Retiree's Lenten Noon Gathering
If you have been retired one month or twenty-five years or more, you are invited to join this group for a light lunch and fellowship followed by a discussion about portions of the book, “Marry a Pregnant Virgin” by retired pastor Frank G Honeycutt. We will have small group discussion about selected readings in the book. A short reading assignment of about 5 pages is suggested each week but not required. A free will offering will be received for the lunch. The group will meet for five weeks starting on Wednesday, February 21 from 12:00 – 1:30 pm. Lent Book Study Group
You are invited to join a group during the season of Lent that will read together and discuss the book “Holy Living” by Rowan Williams. We will meet for five Tuesdays, February 20 – March 20, from 5:30 – 6:30 pm. A day time option is available on Thursday mornings from 10:30 – 11:30 am beginning February 22. Sign up by February 11 on the church website or contact Lisa in the church office.

Peace After Divorce
This education and support group is open to all who are divorced, separated or in the process of divorce. Two facilitators lead the group who have both experienced divorce. The group will meet on Tuesdays at Holy Trinity, February 27 through April 17, from 6:30 - 8:30 pm in room 100. A registration fee of $10 will offset the cost of materials . Join the new Advocacy Team
The Church is called to work for justice and peace throughout the world. A new team is forming to address these issues and you are invited to be a part of this group. The first meeting will be on Tuesday, January 30, at 6:00 pm in Room 100. We will discuss the vision and direction of the team . Email Lisa Strnad if you plan to attend.
Peace Not Walls: Feb. 23
The Southeastern Iowa Synod has an active regional ministry advocating for peace and justice in Israel and Palestine. You are invited to a special event, "Nurturing Hope in Bethlehem and the West Bank." A Day with the Rev. D. Mitri Raheb and Bright Stars of Bethlehem will be held on Friday, Feb. 23, 9:00 am-4:00 pm at Bethesda Lutheran Church in Ames. There is a $25 registration fee. Learn more and register here.
Small Discoveries Preschool Enrollment

Holy Trinity Food Pantry
The Holy Trinity Food Pantry is in need of the following items:
  • Baking supplies
  • Personal care items, including feminine hygeine products and disposable diapers
  • Recently purchased ground beef, chicken or other mainstay meats that are in 1-2 pound packages and have an easy-to-read date on them. Take them directly to the freezer in the Fellowship Hall, next to the Hearty Blessings freezer. 
Please continue your generous support.  Credit/debit card donations can be placed at the Giving Station located in the Narthex.  Your monetary, food and personal care gifts are an outreach of God's love to the Ankeny community.
