     Art Walk is for lovers in February with original art, artist receptions, live music, live demonstrations, hands-on activities and more in 23 participating venues, 6-10 p.m. Friday Feb. 6.

     Our college- and university-sponsored galleries return from Winter Break with a variety of outstanding new shows, including a very special event at OTC Fine Art Gallery at The Gillioz. Visit the OTC gallery for the Solo Exhibition by Marion DeCocq, who has swept the top honors in Art Walk's annual Art Contest for two years running. 

     Other standout events in February include Arts & Letters' Campbell Tarot Show and Post-It Show, the Hearts for the Arts: I See Red silent auction at The Creamery, the Photography Challenge Exhibition at The U @ Springfield, Wonders at Dusk: The Art of Stephanie Cramer at Obelisk Home, and much, much more!

Park Central Branch Library presents a variety of First Friday entertainments Feb. 6. At 6 p.m., enjoy a First Friday Art Talk titled Three Spaces: Critical Utopianism for Contemporary Audiences. From 6 to 9 p.m., enjoy a Display of Digital Art by Alan O'Neal, plus Springfield Regional Opera's Operazzi open mic night at 7 p.m. (or bring your sheet music and join the show). Finally, get hands on with Fusion Bead Art 7-9 p.m. for all ages (materials provided).
