NEW Project Launch!
In Montgomery County alone, 1 in 5 kids in local schools is at risk for food insecurity.  That number drastically increases as we move into the summer months when these children can no longer count on being fed breakfast and lunch at their local school.

Hence, the launch of our 'Brunch for You' Bag.  This assortment of nutritious snacks was designed specifically with these youth in mind.  It is our goal to complete 800 of these bags for area food banks.

Take Your Child to Work Day

Thursday, April 27th is "Take Your Daughters & Sons to Work Day". Millions of Americans will take their children to work that day for them to get a taste of 'the workplace'.

Talk to your company coordinator about the possibility of adding a community service piece to the day. Nothing empowers today's youth more than showing them how they can make a difference in this world!

Kindness in Action

Kutz Cougars 4 A Cause
A group of students from the Kutz Cougars 4 A Cause club met weekly during the months of January and February to work on service projects benefiting The Giving Tree. The students enjoyed making Peace and Smiles boxes, Hunger Buster bags and scarves for the homeless. The club does a variety of projects throughout the year benefiting both the school and the community at large.

Mercy Connection Day
 at GMA
A big thank you to the students of Gwynedd Mercy Academy for having The Giving Tree back for their annual 'Mercy Connection Day'.  It was so exciting to be a part of bringing mercy and kindness to so many people in need.

Ambassador's February Meeting
A special thank you to guest speaker Teri Dodaro from the Community Partnership School in Philadelphia.  Teri came out to speak to members of our Ambassadors Club at the February meeting about the challenges student and teaching staff endure from day to day.  Ambassadors then worked on projects benefiting underprivileged schools.
