Summer Sunday School (9:30 a.m. only)

Sunday, June 3--Sunday, July 29
9:30 to 10:30 a.m.
Room 4G
Fourth Floor Gratz Center

Summer Sunday School begins this Sunday, June 3 and runs through Sunday, July 29.

This year we're trying something new! Inspired by the fun of Vacation Bible School, we will be mixing all ages and grades together in one classroom before breaking up into smaller groups for some self-selected activities. All students ages three-years-old through fifth grade are invited to join us in Room 4G from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m.

Our time will begin with a short chapel lesson by either Pastor Matt or Briana, and then students will have an opportunity to continue learning about our Bible story for the morning through their choice of crafts, activities, and games.

We will also encourage our older students to help teach or read to our younger students as well. We hope that this new style of class better fits our summer months and will be a good mixture of learning and fun!

Drive-In Movie Night

Friday, June 15
5:30 to 8:00 p.m.
Anderson Hall and Bumpus Room

School is (almost!) out for summer, and we wanted to celebrate with a classic summertime activity: a drive-in movie night!

We'll start out in Anderson Hall with dinner from Flaco's Tacos, followed by a chance for kids to make their own drive-in vehicles out of cardboard boxes and a variety of other decorative materials. We will provide all food and materials for the cars--all you need to do is show up!

After dinner and creating our vehicles, we'll head (ahem, drive) upstairs to the Bumpus Room to watch Coco on our big projector screen.

Coco was the Oscar winner for "Best Animated Film" in 2017 and tells the story of a young boy who is accidentally transported to the land of the dead; parents, please be aware that the movie is rated PG, so it may be scary for children under 5, but has been lauded for its themes of family and culture.

Please know that there is no cost to attend this movie night, and there are no RSVPs necessary; we will, however, put out an offering box if you'd like to help us offset the cost.

Parking validations for $8 are available at the reception desk, provided that you park in the 900 N. Michigan garage after 5:00 p.m.

Vacation Bible School

Vacation Bible Sc hool Registration

Monday, August 6--Friday, August 10
9:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. each day

Vacation Bible School is an action-packed week of learning, singing, and fun here at Fourth Church, all centered on a particular biblical theme.

This year, we'll be journeying back to ancient Babylon. We'll learn about Isaiah, Daniel, and other Old Testament prophets while also making crafts, playing games in the courtyard, and engaging in all the other excitement that VBS usually brings.
