The Goshen Weekly
November 17, 2015

FROM THE DESK OF BARBARA P.

You'd probably rather not think about it, but yes, winter is coming! For information about school procedures for closings and delays due to inclement weather, please consult

ALL SCHOOL

Goshen Friends uses a notification system from Blackboard Inc. that allows us to contact the entire school community quickly regarding an important event (school closing, upcoming events, etc.). Messages are sent to cell phones, home phones, and email accounts. We will be sending a test message on
Wednesday, November 18,
to ensure that all contact information is correct.

If you have any questions or concerns, please contact Susan McCardell by phone at (610) 696-8601 or via  email.

Can you say WOW? Last week the Goshen Friends community delivered 326 pounds of nonperishables, 10 pounds of fresh veggies, a 15-pound frozen turkey, and even a monetary donation to the Chester County Food Bank during our Lower School visit. Thank you to all who contributed!
THANKS!

A huge thank you to our Auction 2015 planners, Jennifer Ray Beckman and Alice Lenthe. They took on a gigantic project while balancing family, full-time jobs, and all of life's predictably unpredictable events. The event was one of our best! The space was perfect and the mood was light. Tr. Chris and his band were fantastic. It made our school shine, and for that we are most thankful.

Jennifer and Alice were helped by many parent and faculty volunteers. Duties included item solicitation, set-up, checkout, class projects, and more ... and our community rose to the occasion. Thank you to all who were involved and attended!

A fabulous time was had by one and all at Auction 2015 - Taking Flight! Parents, faculty, General Committee members, and friends of the school enjoyed a lovely evening of music, food, and fellowship with our Goshen community. And let's not forget those class projects! See a photo album from the evening on our Facebook page.

IN OTHER NEWS ...

Auction organizers are looking for  two of the winning bidders from Friday night's event. If you were the winning bidder for  Tr. Richelle and Tr. Lela's Pajama Party or for
Tr. Karen's Personal Story Time, please contact the office ASAP so that we can put you in touch with the teachers who donated these awesome items. Thanks!
