THANKS !

Many thanks to all who played a role in Thursday's Groundbreaking Ceremony! The list is a long one: Jennifer Beckman, who planned the event and took care of every possible detail; Bob Batley, clerk of the building committee and provider of hard hats, dirt, and shovels; Joe Stratton, co-clerk of the Capital Campaign; Maurice Weintraub, architect; Dave Dobbins and Bob Kittle of Dream Finishers, builders; Mike Lapp of Lapp Structures, construction support; Dan Truitt, State Representative; Rick Smith, East Goshen Township Manager; Irene Crichton, Clerk of the General Committee; Audrey and Favi, student representatives; Michele Kornegay, who documented the event; and all of the parents, grandparents, students, teachers, members of Goshen Monthly Meeting, General Committee members, and long-time friends of the school who joyfully and warmly (literally) joined in the celebration. Thank you!

Thank you also to the Quaker granting bodies that made the project a reality, The Snave Foundation, the Tyson Memeorial Fund and the Sara Bowers Fund!

We're so thrilled to be moving forward with construction projects that will add to our already-amazing campus! Last week's groundbreaking ceremony was the first step in our summer-long process; see more photos from the event on our Facebook page .

IN OTHER NEWS ...

The GPC is looking for some new officers. If you are interested, please contact Cathy Beck  or Liz Koshgerian!

Tr. Wes is looking for parent volunteers for the annual always-fun Game Day, which will take place this Thursday starting at 1 p.m.  It's a great way to enjoy the sunshine and get caught up in the kids' energy! To volunteer, email Tr. Wes!

LOGO, Pro-Bot, WeDo, and Tinkercad ... what are they, and what do they have in common? They're all part of Goshen Friends' STEM curriculum for grades 1-5! Read more about students' spring STEM activities at this link!
