The Great Greene Heist by Varian Johnson is a fun summer read that hits all the marks: A diverse group of friends with a range of talents sets out to put the rich, entitled class bully, in his place--with lots of suspense and humor.

It's accessible and funny and will appeal to kids who don't think of themselves as readers, as well as to seasoned readers who will enjoy the plotting and planning Jackson Greene does to keep the student council election on the straight and narrow (sort of). He's a hero everyone can champion.

Happy beach reading!

With all my best,
