The Great ShakeOut Webinar: How Can Participation Count Towards My CMS Exercise Requirement?
Great ShakeOut Earthquake Drills began in southern California in 2008, and have grown to include participation in every state and territory, as well as to many other countries. Nearly 20 million people participated across the U.S. in 2017, including more than 400,000 healthcare sector participants in hospitals, clinics, and other facilities.

The basic action of ShakeOut is to practice Drop, Cover, and Hold On Many organizations conduct more comprehensive tests of their emergency plan, such as tabletop discussions or full scale community operational exercises.

The Great ShakeOut Earthquake Drills and Connect Consulting Services, are teaming up to offer a free webinar to show how participation in the Great ShakeOut can count towards the new Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) training and exercise requirements and provide an overview of available drill and exercise resources and strategies.
