In an effort to address physician concerns about supporting breastfeeding in the clinic and the Baby-Friendly process, Children's Hospital LA is providing an evening for physicians entitled "Updates on the Newborn: Evidence-Based Care from Hospital to Clinic". First 5 LA Funding for Hospitals

Don't miss the deadline! First 5 LA is offering a third round of Request for Proposals (RFP) for the Baby-Friendly Hospital Project. Hospitals with an exclusive breastfeeding rate below the LA County average of 39.3% (2010 data), are encouraged to apply.
The grant provides up to $473,000 to cover costs such as staff training time, Baby-Friendly fees, and certain operational/administrative services related to QI and project management.
Deadline: Submit an application online to First 5 LA no later than 5:00 pm on Thursday, May 24, 2012 To learn more, click here.
