February 2018
Dear APACC Sponsors, Members and Friends,

Welcome to the frozen Tundra also known as Michigan in February! Culturally, we celebrate the Chinese New Year on February 16 as we enter the Year of the Dog. We also salute and celebrate Black History Month.

Wow, despite the cold weather last month, APACC was very busy at events! We kicked off January by partnering with three other chamber accomplices, I mean, colleagues: Greater Farmington, Livonia and Novi for a Neighborly Networking event. We had approximately 200 attendees on a cold, snowy January evening enjoying warm business connections and conversations.

Next, I was able to attend Wayne State University’s Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Tribute. The keynote speaker was the former U.S. Attorney General, Loretta Lynch and moderated by Channel 4’s Kimberly Gill.

APACC’s NAIAS activities started with Board Chair, Grace Lee and I attending Governor Snyder’s China Auto Reception, followed by a DENSO Supplier Diversity BBQ Luncheon and AutoShow Preview and I attended the Charity Preview.

January ended as it was a privilege and honor to be recognized as the Small Business Advocate of the Year by the Crescent Educational Foundation of Detroit. Ned Staebler, President & CEO of TechTown was the inspiring keynote speaker. Congratulations to the other honorees!

I hope you can join us at next month's 15th Annual East-West Business Connection on March 8 and if you haven't already picked up your gown/tux or ethnic attire for our gala on April 28 at MGM Grand Detroit, you can RSVP or better yet become a sponsor now!

Lastly, just remember Spring begins next month!
 Regards,
